How to know when to upgrade ?
How can I know when it's time to upgrade my BTV installation ?
SS announces new releases with 3.4.x notation but my BTV install says version 3.4 and a build number. This combined with no "check for upgrade" function isn't very user friendly IMHO. How can I tell if there are any patches or new releases that I should install ? Brg Emil

Well the xxx in 3.4.xxx is the build number.
As for knowing when to upgrade, I usually just wait for an email announcement. But you can always check the announcements section of this forum or see what the latest version at http://www.snapstream.com/Download/ is available.

They are currently experimenting with FireFly where it autoupdates or notifies you an update is ready. Assuming the user response is positive its a good chance something similar will be implemented in BTV eventually.
