Question Bummer... IR "learning" remote and ATI RemoteWonder won't work together.. waaa!

I just bought a Sony learning remote... but I think I'm out of luck trying this:

I wanted to see if I could get it to "learn" the ATI RemoteWonder... but I'm guessing that RF and IR are not compatible in this way.

Am I right?

That brings me to a question I may have to shoot over to ATI but I wanted to try here first:

- Can I purchase another ATI RemoteWonder and use it with the same setup as a second remote? My first one is all setup and working great.

Thanks!

Your right... IR and RF are compleatly 2 different things.

One is light (IR) the other is Radio (RF)

As for other ATI remotes you can get as many as you want and they will work together. There is also a way to assign one or more remote to work on one pc if you wish... in case your changing the channels on someone elses computer. This is in the Remote wonder software and is easy to find and do. But by default the Remote wonder software on your machine will be listening for any remote available.

So go to town a buy as many remotes as you wish!

First off, when ya boil it down to the science, RF and IR are not totally different, they're both electromagnetic radiation, they're just on different frequencies.

As for dual RW's, we've got two in our house now. Before we programmed individual codes, both remotes controlled both computers. Now it's setup for one control per computer. Works like a charm either way.
