It records on a restricted channel anyway
So I want to record the screensavers on tech tv, channel 175. My cable provider also has tech tv interactive, which is channel 176. Unfortunately both channels have the various programs listed at the same time for each. I've gone into my channels settings and set 176 to restricted and hidden. Even though I've done this, it always records that show on 176 which is just a menu screen and not the show. How can I get this to only record on channel 175 when I have it set to "record all showings" ? Thanks.

record all showings will only record on the channel that the record always job was originally started on. if you set an always job on 176 then that job will only record on 176 and never on any other channel

as far as I know i specifically selected 175 in the program guide when i set this up, but i'll redo it and see what happens.
