Dark recordings

Has anyone resolved the issue of dark recordings with the TV-Wonder card? I have read a bunch of previous postings on the subject but no solutions. Am I SOL with this thing?

The curious thing is that if I use the Windows Media Encoder setting as the capture interface, the recordings are fine but it always records from channel 4. The dark recordings result with directShow as the capture interface.

Comments, anyone?

You can increase the brightness of the recordings by going into the settings on ATI's tv settings. This should carry over into the snapstream recordings too.

I have had the same problems. Bright/outdoor scenes look fine, indoor scenes are dark. If you adjust it in the ATI software to the point indoor scenes look ok, then bright scenes look washed out (for lack of a better term). It's not really a viable fix to resolve all darkness issues.
