channel scanning

I ran through the setup wizard. The scanning of channels took a long time and only 2 of the channels have a real channel. The unchecked (non-channels) and the checked ("active") channels don't record anything. I've tried about 1/2 of the channels and nothing but static is recorded. I skipped around to make sure that nothing worked.

WinTV works just fine, I can record manually from WinTV 2000.

What can I do?

What are your system specs? What tuner card are you using? What are all the settings in comfigure->video sources->edit?
