Streaming re-encoded files to the pocket pc

I have a handful of re-encoded files that I wanted to try to stream to my pocket pc... As has been noted before, it's hard to sort out all the files in the pocket pc web interface when you login, for me I have about 100 shows listed, and telling which ones are for the pocket pc is really rough (I noted last night that the dates that show up on the main web interface and the dates that show up in the pocketpc interface don't match, I noted this because I sometimes have both versions of a file, the mpg2 and the wmv, and sometimes multiple versions of the wmv or avi)

Well, the long and short of it was everytime I tried to stream one of the re-encoded files (all done from previous versions of Snapstream) I got an error that the pocketpc windows media player couldn't play that file...

I was able to stream livetv, though at the ipaq High Quality, it was dropping frames... while in the past that worked fine.

since you are re-encoding them for the pocket pc why not just make a new store directory that is specifically for the pocket pc formatted files?? that way it is easy to find them in the web interface (this is completly assuming using the same interface as the normal web interface)

I did that, but it doesn't use the same interface, it basically just creates a LONG list with ALL the files from ALL the stores... this is why files that are encoded at various rates are hard to pick out, they all have the same name... I could change file names, but that is tedious.

I made this suggestion to the devs. The Pocket PC rencoded files should be the only files that should be listed in my eyes. You shouldn't see a 4 GB MPEG2 file that you know that you can't ever stream to the pocket pc.
