after file is recorded, can i convert file type?
if i record a program in Windows Media file format,
(reason: becuase Mpeg does not play great always in windows media player (codec errors sometimes), ....... thats why i default to windows mv or else i would just leave it as Mpg) My question is this : can i convert the already recorder wmv file back to mpeg ? the reason i am asking is that qQuicktime Pro 6 will convert avi and mpg........ to mpg-4, which is the format my Sony ericsson P800 phone uses. so therefore i can watch some tv shows on there while i travel.... its seems that the recompression tool doesnt do this, or am i mistaken ? |

The built in tool in Snapstream is just to go to WMV. There are other free tools you can get though to do what you want. Check out http://www.vcdhelp.com they have a whole section on conversion to other formats.
