Live Stream with AIW Radeon 7500

I am running the following system:
P4 / 1.17GHz
256MB RAM
Windows 2000 / SP3
AIW Radeon 7500 card

DirectX 8.x
Snapstream PVS 2
Netscape 7.02
Windows media Player 9

I am trying to setup the streaming server for live broadcast. However, when Itry to connect from either my machine or another one on my system (ports 1755, 8129, 80), there doesn't seem to be any thing active.

The documentation that comes with PVS 2 is, well, a bit thin.

Can I download a PDF manual that describes the setup bit better?

If I can't distribute a live feed, can stream a file as it's being recorded?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

In fact in PVS 2.0 that’s exactly what you have to do. You can’t stream live tv, only way to stream something live is when its actively being recorded.

The good news is that when 3.0 is released you will be able to stream live tv.

Three things:

ATI All-In-Wonder cards are strange about viewing "live." We have a patch for that.

Windows Media Player 9 differs so much from previous versions that it causes manifold problems in PVS 2.0.

PVS is to be run through Internet Explorer. I wouldn't recommend using Netscape.

If you've purchased PVS 2.0, you can get a beta copy of PVS 3, but keep in mind the following caveats:

It requires at minimum a 733mHz processor.
It requires DirectX 9.
It requires WDM drivers.

All issues / problems are to be posted in the "PVS Beta Testing" forum.

If that hasn't scared you away, you can sign up for the beta by following the instructions in the "Can I be a beta tester?" sticky post.

Well, the beta program was cancelled earlier this week, but since then, it has apparently been reinstated.

So... Drop me a line at techsupport @ snapstream.com, include your order number (begins with RE), and I'll guide you from there on out.

I thought you already had the beta...??
