Streaming live TV over the internet; behind Linux firewall
I'm trying to stream live TV over the internet. My snapstream box is sitting behind a RedHat linux box which is my firewall. I have my Linux box set up to forward ports 8129, 8080 and 1755 to the Windows box. I have tried telnetting to these ports to verify I am indeed making a connection.
It _almost_ works. I can get to the snapstream web page, and I can even play existing recordings through the interface. What I cannot do, is watch a live stream. I can do this locally, of course.
WMP comes up and pops up a dialog that says "The network connection has failed.". When I click [details], it says Error ID = 0xc00d0029, remedy id=0x00000000 and the message is "The computer is no longer connected to the network or Internet".
In WMP, I have my Network settings to use TCP for streaming media.
Am I missing something?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Eric
