Please download and run Hauppauge's HCWCLEAR.EXE utility with "total removal":
http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/softw...s/hcwclear.exe

Then download and install the 2.59 drivers for the WinTV USB:
http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/softw...v259_19342.exe

Then run through the Snapstream Hardware Setup Wizard, start PVS, and attempt a diagnostic recording. It should be el perfecto...

But let me know if it isn't.

Unhappy WIN TV USB Config Problem

Hi.
I know this is an older thread, but I'm having similar problems and I have tried all remedies.

HWClear has been run.
hauppauge 2.6 drivers installed
WINTV 2000 new app installed
Snapstream wizard run again
no video on wizard setup but I do have audio.
watching live tv, though I have no audio or video
advanced config looks perfect
Snapstream hangs on "stopping worker" on exit
WINTV 2000 application works perfectly

WINME
Ath XP2200
256MB DDR RAM
S3 Video 32 MB
80 Gig
Snapstream 3.2614 build trial

Thanks in Advance!

the wintv usb devices are limited to ONLY working at 320x240 capture resolution if you change your resolution to anything else you will likely not get any video/audio

Figured that, but I'm not sure where to change that, and I don't see how that would affect my ability to get through the setup wizard or simply to watch TV.

I forgot to mention that I did install WMP 9.

Thanks for the very quick response!

the setup wizard displays video at a resolution other than 320x240 hence it not working, to change video resoltuion you have to edit your default quality, the qualities are listed under the webadmin->configure->recording click the link to the right of the drop down for the quality and hit edit
