Poor Playback Performance

I'm new to Beyond TV and I'm having some challenges with playback.

First let me say, I built the box just recently as a dedicated box. all the drivers etc are up to date.

My specs are as follows:

P4 1.8ghz
512mb RAM
80GB HD
Hauppauge pvr-150
nvidia geforce 6200 with 256mb ram and tv out.

the system records just fine, but for playback it stutters a lot.

Interestingly, I can run XBMC and play the same videos, mpg2, or divx and they play smooth as silk. They even play smooth if Beyond TV is doing showsqueezes in the background.

I believe my system is powerful enough since xbmc can play the same vids with no issues.

I'm guessing I have something incorrectly configured with BTV and so it's not utilizing my graphics card properly or something.

ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you are using overlay and not 3D. What playback codec are you using? Try a different one. These settings are accessed from the viewscape, Settings/Playback settings.

Also there were some NV drivers that did not work well with BTV. Which driver are you using? If the overlay and codecs do not solve your issue, try a forum search to find the best driver for the 6200.
