V 4.6.1. resets my TV Card (to NTSC instead of PAL?)

I'm testing BTV 4.6.1. (i know, old version. This is due to using LM Gestion's webguide).

BTV used to work fine with my Pinnacle PCTV 100i PCI card (Analog PAL) for a few weeks. BTV recognizes this card as Pinnacle Analog 713x BDA Caputure 1 , or something like that.

The card worked fine for a couple of weeks, in BTV and in Pinnacle's TVCentr Pro app.

All of a sudden, the TV feed is displayed in washed out grey, to a point where the actual images are only just visible (Like contrast is a 1 out of 100). So the images are most like the colour on which you are reading this text know, with the actual image just shining through.
This occurs in BTV and in Pinnacle's TVCenterPro.

If i stop BTV, remove the PCTV 100i device from device manager, and let WinXp re-recognize it, everything is fine in Pinnacle TVcenterpro. Repeatedly.
However, if i start BTV once, picture is set to the washed out grey. Also in Pinnacle TVcenterpro. Stopping BTV doesn't fix it. Only removing the PCI card from device manager does.

So, BTV kind of (re)sets my TV card. To what? To NTSC? (i read that in 4.6.1. an issue with saving PAL vs NTSC in the webguide is fixed. Is it? Is that my problem? Where can i look (what XML file?)?

Any hints are welcome. Will try a reinstall of BTV otherwise, but am afraid the problem will return unexpectedly.
I have been fiddling with recording formates prior to the problem (setting to WMV, Mpeg-2, etc), but that shouldn't affect Live TV, especially to a point that picture is still grey washed out in Pinnacle TVCenterpro after closing BTV, should it?

Solved: V 4.6.1. resets my TV Card (to NTSC instead of PAL?)

I deleted the TV Card source, rescanned the channels and everything was fine again....

Question Re: V 4.6.1. resets my TV Card (to NTSC instead of PAL?)

I'll reopen this because Is the exact thing that is happening to me with the 4.9.2 version only that If I delete the TV Card source nothing happens, but I have the same tuner

any thoughts about what can be happening here?
