Does BeyondTV report viewship/ratings?

Howdy,

I admit I do not understand how cable TV ratings work, just a vague idea that Nielsen collects them somehow.

Lately, when websites such as that linked below, report on DVR's boosting ratings, they don't say what DVR(s) they're talking about. So I'm curious, because I'd prefer to get counted and help keep shows such as Fringe on the air, does BeyondTV's Community reporting feature that I've enabled, does that report to the people who figure out if anyone is watching a show?

As a former Nielsen Family, that had to hook up their own equipment to our 3 VCRs and TV so that they could track our viewing habits.

I also understand that they are working with TiVO for DVR tracking, how they do that, I'm not sure. I would think SnapStream would have to put something into their software for Nielsen to track.
