ByeondTV 4.9 does not recognize HVR 1600's dual tuners

Hello all.

I just installed a new Hauppauge HVR 1600, having removed my old Hauppauge card. The card installed fine, but when I go through the Beyond TV setup wizard, only one tuner is an option from the drop down menu (with -1 after the name of the tuner, as if there ought to be additional numbers). Anyone had this problem?

All help and suggestions would be welcomed.

Did you install the most recent Hauppauge driver from the web site?

Support for WinTV-HVR-1600

The driver on the CD requires a hack to see the QAM tuner, while the driver from the web site just works as expected. Install WinTV7 CD v1.2 and choose driver only.

Thanks. I hadn't tried this updated set of drivers. I will try them today. Do you recommend running the Hauppauge driver clearing file first and starting from scratch or is it safe to install the updated version over top of the old one?

Thanks for the help. I've got the digital tuner working now. Now I just have to set aside some time to figure out what the channels are and link them up to the guide!
