Viewscape Not Showing Recorded Shows - What Can I Do

I have read some threads about this problem and I am at a loss on how to fix it. It would appear that it is a bug in BTV but I cannot be sure. I have to say I am getting tired of it.

My recording config is probably not typical. I have 2 hard drives 500GB each in the machine and have 1 4TB NAS running openfiler. All 3 drives are configured as a recording pool.

Most of the time everything is fine, but then all the sudden for no apparent reason, recorded shows for the day will not show up in the Viewscape. I can assure you they are recorded perfectly as they play fine in Zoom Player.

I have tried the "O" options for sorting the recorded shows trick without luck.

Reboot, restart and hopeful thoughts don't seem to work. What is going on here?

I have no link machines, everything is on the server. The logs look good too, nothing to indicate any problems.

I would lean toward something conflicting with the BTVNetworkServices.exe

Not sure if you're having the same problem I had, but here's the short version:
Everything was working fine. One day, newly recorded shows stoppped appearing (they were there, just not showing up in BTV). Rebooting the server would bring them back. It only happened once a week or so, but became more frequent until I was rebooting the server every day.

After lots of trouble-shooting, I created a new video folder and set it as the default. I deleted ALL other folder settings/pools then moved all my recorded shows to the new folder. I'm no longer using pools, but have a default folder and an archive folder.

After doing this, my system has been rock-solid for many months. Hope this helps!
