Beyond TV + FIOS + Motorola DCT700/US

Has anyone had success setting up Verizon's FIOS service with Beyond TV (Instant TV Deluxe external box), a Motorola DCT700/US cable box, and ADS Tech IR Blaster?

I can get a FIOS listing which looks correct in Beyond TV but when I try to change the channel with the ADS Tech remote it won't control the cable box.

I can control the cable box with the FIOS remote.. but that will make it much more difficult to set up recordings.

Have you tried "training" beyondtv using your FiOS remote? I did for my FiOS boxes before I switched to serial tuning and it worked fine.

i use firewire to change the stb channels.............no ir issues to deal with

I haven't tried the FIOS remote. I was trying to set it up with the ADS remote but I will give it a try.

Aaron,

I gave it a try but there is no where in the software to access any type of controller other than ones that would come with a tuner. Am I missing something here or is a difference between tuner boxes and menus in the software.

I think I got it worked out. I went into the setup program and picked another motorola cable box. I had to set it NOT to pad the input. It didn't seem to change channels in the test screen but works every time with Beyond TV guide and the keyboard. The ADS Tech controller works most of the time but seems to have a occasional problem.
