Unable to resume playback of some H.264 files

I have recently started converting some of my videos to H.264 MP4 using Handbrake. They play fine, but if I stop playback and try to resume at a later point, the Viewscape hangs, pegging the CPU. I get the following in the log:

[2009/2/15 17:26:56] Client: BTVLINK started playback of: S:\DVDs\Star Wars\Clone Wars\Clone Wars.mp4.
[2009/2/15 17:35:54] Using SnapStream Video/SP Decoder.
[2009/2/15 17:35:54] Using SnapStream Audio Decoder.
[2009/2/15 17:35:54] Using SnapStream H.264 Decoder.
[2009/2/15 17:35:54] Using default filters for playback
[2009/2/15 17:35:55] ViewScape using VMR9 for file playback.
[2009/2/15 17:35:55] Localhost started playback of: S:\DVDs\Star Wars\Clone Wars\Clone Wars.mp4 from ViewScape.
[2009/2/15 17:35:55] PlayFile failed to tune the playback graph.

This occurs on multiple computers, and I have no problem playing them in VLC. Sometimes I can exit out to Recorded Shows, other times I need to kill the Viewscape.

Any ideas?

Version 4.9.0 (Build 6073)

Re: Unable to resume playback of some H.264 files

This just happened to me, I am supprised to find your recient post.

As well as if you try skipping, it will cause lock up problems.. and stopps playing, leaving me with a black screen, or froze picture. Hit the back button a bunch, and wait and sometimes if you wait long enough it comes back/lets you out.

4.9.1 build 6185 (latest beta)

I'm finding if I just wait, it will eventually play. (when I am picking up from where I last left off)
