hauppauge remote won't work with 2250

I have been using the 45 button remote with two usb2 tuners and a pvr250 for quite some time. I installed an additional card- a hvr-2250. The cards all work, but my remote control says it will not initialize. The only way I can get the remote to work is to uninstall the 2250 drivers. I already did the hcclear and reinstalled everything, and tried the beta driver for the 2250. I am almost ready to rip the 2250 out of my computer. Please Help.

Re: hauppauge remote won't work with 2250

I figured this out and am posting in case someone else has this problem. I read on a uk board that the remote will only work with the last card installed. I uninstalled all cards, then reinstalled the 250, the 2250 and then the two usb tuners. The remote will now initialize and the ir will work off the usb2 tuner. It was driving me nuts.

You got it.

the remote drivers for different cards are different, so you should only install the remote program for the card that will be used to receive signals (or output to the blaster.)

I had the same problem with my 1950/HD-PVR. I had to un-install the blaster program and re-install off the PVR's driver CD.

Re: hauppauge remote won't work with 2250

Hi, I am a newbie. I have a 2250 card that I had purchased erroneously without a remote. A member on another board had a new hauppauge 45 button MCE remote setup he was not using and I purchased it from him. I reinstalled wintv from hauppauge and I can still not get it to work . I know it is me doing something wrong. Can someone point me in the right direction, Please? Thank you - Tom

First don't use winTV it sucks so bad. Get BeyondTV its so much better. I'm still working on the fine points of getting the remote to work however. I'll update you when i know more.
