Hauppauge HVR-2250

I installed TWO of these cards in my HTPC this past weekend, for over-the-air (OTA) recording. The installation went flawlessly, and BTV picked up on their dual tuners without any difficulties. I've now had a half-dozen scheduled recordings go off without a hitch.

So no problems here. Just reporting in so that others who are thinking about this solution can proceed without concerns of compatibility.

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

Do you know if this card is being supported in the current 4.9 QAM Beta version of BTV???

Sounds like I might want to get me one of these cards.

I could have sworn that I saw another thread where users said that it was working with their 2250.

Here you go:

Anyone have an HVR-2250 yet?

Are you using the current released version of BTV, or is a beta needed for the HVR-2250?

According to my 4.9 Beta 4 email, support for this card was added in Beta 4 (QAM support)!

You have to have the current version of the QAM Beta for QAM to function with BTV.

Me too. I haven't seen it anyplace but Hauppauge as of yet. I am waiting for NewEgg to carry it (since snapstream is getting out of the hardware business ).

Amazon.com is now selling this card.
http://www.amazon.com/Hauppauge-1229...9931672&sr=8-1

Note that they have both versions - with and without the controller equipment.

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

Yes, but it is much more expensive than hauppauge's price:

Amazon Prices:

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

rothe,

Do closed captions work with this card? If so, is this with the analog tuner, the digital tuner, or both?
