Depends on the operating system... In XP (and possibly 2000 as well) you supposed to be able to create custom resolutions by editing the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\System\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\VIDEO I seem to recall that this will edit the current res. So if you already have 800x600 selected and you edit the key in regedit and change it to 720x576, when you reboot that would be the resolution Windows would display at straight away. Be sure to make a note of what you change in case you need to go back! Alteratively, programs like TVTool I think can do it, as can the newer video cards. |
