Hauppauge HVR-2250

I read that this is a PCI Express card.

Do you think they will make a PCI or USB version?

Thanks - Kimberli

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

Last I heard, Hauppauge had no plans for a PCI version. Don't know anything about USB.

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

I would suspect that usb and pci might be too slow for two HD tuners.

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

Don't think you will see a dual tuner version in USB. I have the 1950 which is a single tuner version in USB.

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

I'm pretty sure that PCI hardware is slowly being decommissioned. Though USB is always a potential option especially with USB 3.0 right around the corner.

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

I'm also interested in this card, and if anyone in the 4.9 closed beta is using it (successfully) with clear QAM...

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

And another person planning on using the card in a new HTPC. Any idea if SnapStream will be offering it in a bundle with BeyonTV anytime soon?

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2250

I was talking with someone else around here and they currently do not support the 2250 in the private beta, and I'm not sure if they are working on it or not.

Further said card is PCI Express x1
