File is corrupt or the path <path/Filename> no longer exists.
Hi, tried wading thru some posts on this subject but couldnt find any help, anybody seen this. Getting this message when i try to play back files: File is corrupt or the path <path/Filename> no longer exists. Files are on hard drive and will play with windows media but not btv. At first I thought it was only old files, now I see its doing it om everything I record. It happened after my power supply started to fail. At the time I thought it was something else, and did a windows restore, to a week before problem. But after troubleshooting found it was the power supply and replaced it. Everything looked good till I tried playback. Saw a post about faulty codecs in forums. Could this be the problem and how do i fix it. Using mpeg2 to encode.
Appreciate any help I can get. Running on an old pIII with windows xp and hauppauge pvr150 |

Re: File is corrupt or the path <path/Filename> no longer exists.
it sounds like you need a registry fix. Open up a ticket with support.
To help speed up the process, follow this page for downloading a debug software and have the program start watching your system. Once the problem occurs again, upload the debug view log and your snapstream log in the ticket, and they can review it to see if you need the registry fix. http://kb.snapstream.com/?kbid=5 Good luck!

Re: File is corrupt or the path <path/Filename> no longer exists.
I have the same problem. All the shows exist and can be viewed using Windows media player but I get the same error message as "dimaggra".
DImaqqra did you figure out what the problem is because I don't want to do this debugging thing and dropping a ticket? |

All the debugging is installing a program that watches your system. After you have the problem, you attach the log from the debug viewer and the snapstream log to the ticket, and Snapstream takes care of the rest. You are actually not reading the debug log or anything...they do all the work (or at least 90% of it).
