Can't dual record with hvr-1600

Anyone besides me have or had a problem with the hvr-1600 not recording on both the analog and digital tuners at the same time. I've read that it should work. I've reinstalled drivers, etc., but no luck so far.

Re: Can't dual record with hvr-1600

My system is an ecs 945gct-m motherboard, dual core 2180, 2 meg ram, 8400gs video card, xp home with latest updates. I used the latest drivers from the hauppauge website. BTV 4.71. I'm using 1 sata 300gb drive and 1 pata drive and recording to both using drive pooling.

This system is all new, I put it together specifically for the hvr 1600. When i first got the card I put it into an older computer with a nvidia 6200, and the hd recording was stuttery. Thats why I built the new one. I think I remember the card recording on both channels at the same time in the old computer, but I'm not positive. The hd recording in the new computer works great, I just can't record an sd and hd channel at the same time.

When trying to record 2 programs (1 analog and 1 digital) at the same time I get messages stating I need to cancel one of the jobs. I also tried installing an additional pvr-150 as a workaround, thinking that I would use the 1600 as a digital only card, and kept getting error messages regarding the ir32 program and the remote wouldn't work. Very frustrating. Maybe I need to start over with a fresh install of everything?

Problem solved sorta. Moved card to a different slot and can now record analog and digital at same time. Gotta love PC's.

Me thinks your problem is you're a little light on the ram.
