Failed to build live TV Graph

I just upgraded to BTV 4.7.1 (from the 4519 pre-release) and to HDHR firmware 20070914 (from 20070830) and now things are honked. I can view live tv through the HDHR channel editor and VLC, but when I run the BTV wizard it dies at the Testing dialog with the dreaded "Failed to build live TV Graph" error message. The HDTV Signal Strength dialog that is displayed earlier shows a strength of "0" for all channels during the autoscan (I normally cancel autoscan so I didn't notice this before) . I've tried re-installing BTV and even downgrading to the prior working version but no luck.

Any suggestions on what's wrong or what I can do to fix it?

Thanks.

Re: Failed to build live TV Graph

what does "Failed to build live TV Graph" mean? the BTV setup wizard fails with this error message, indicating "either your TV feed is disconnected or tuned to an invalid channel". before upgrading this all worked perfectly. and like i mentioned earlier, i can tune all my channels as before using the HDHR channel editor. i can also tune analog channels through my PVR-150 using BTV. it's just the HDHR QAM tuning that is fraked.

if re-installation doesn't fix this problem, what else can i do?

What version of the HDHR drivers are you using ? Should at least be on 815

i don't know how to determine the version. i know that when i installed the hdhomerun_windows_x86_20070914.exe software yesterday i saw a messsage indicating it was updating the firmware. so my guess is i'm at the latest level, but if you can tell me how to display the version i can verify.

Re: Failed to build live TV Graph

Rerun the setup wizard, delete your sources and then re-add them.

There is a new mapping file utility that you need to use with anything beyond 815 (yours is 914). Did you follow the installation instructions here ?

yes, i followed them. maybe i was using some newer instructions since they referenced loading the lineup.xml file, and i don't see that in your link. your link talks about setting physical/major/minor channel number using info from the HDHR remap value, but that data isn't displayed in the newest channel editor (at least not for me)

I've gotten that error when my mapping file or the values in the guide on ss.net were out of sync for my HDHR. You're right - I last created my HDHR lineup before the import function was available. Maybe that is causing your issues.

you called it. that was the problem. my HDHR mapping file was incorrect, which causes SS.net to puke with the cryptic "...live TV graph" error. once i got that fixed all was well.

thanks for your help.
