ShowSqueeze fails to delete source

I've had BTV 4.5 set up and working for some time. I have ShowSqueeze configured to compress all recordings to DivX and delete the original mpeg source files. Both source and compressed files are in the same directory on a local drive.

Recently, I am seeing intermittent failure to delete the source file after compressing. This only happens on analog SD recordings from my satellite box, never on OTA HD recordings. Sometimes after the first failure to delete, the remaining ShowSqueeze jobs are not run.

After ShowSqueeze fails to delete the file, I see both original and compressed versions in the recorded shows list. I can manually delete either or both of the files using BTV.

I'm guessing that some recently installed Windows (XP) update is not playing nicely with BTV. Any suggestions?

I'm still having this problem. However, I recently looked at my recording folder and noticed that all the old files with a .mpg extension were still there. Deleting them via the BeyondTV interface removied them from the list of recorded shows, but did not remove the files from the hard drive. I was able to delete the .mpg files using Windows Explorer. I do not see this failure to delete files problem with other files, e.g., .avi, .tp or .xml files, only the .mpg files.

Any ideas?

Also, I have BTV 4.6 installed, not 4.5.
