Guide update not working

I'm not able to update the program guide data. When I try to do a manual update, it gets stuck at 5% for about half an hour then quits. I tried the procedure described here:

but that made no difference. I've had this problem in the past, but I was able to get it working by following those instructions. Not this time.

Am I the only one with this problem, or are guide updates broken for everyone today?

Does anyone know another way to kick-start the update process?

i just switched to a new cable provider, and i'm having the same issue here, when trying to download my new lineup. This, plus the snapstream.net issues earlier today and last nite has me quite frusterated.

I'm not sure if the link in the previous post addresses your issue. Have you followed the suggestions in this KB article:

are you able to log into SnapStream.net and add a lineup that way?

i've already created the lineup and it exists within snapstream.net, it just won't download to BTV, as stated in the very first post by LenP above... i'll be trying again tonite when i get home and update the thread.

everything is working fine now, guide data is downloading correctly and the channel lineup is as expected... not sure if it was some sort of network issue on my end or an issue with the cable provider listing, or some problem with snapstream.net, but if it ain't broke don't fix it...
