EPG won't download after upgrade

The EPG won't download after doing the latest upgrade. The upgrade wiped all existing guide data and it won't download updated data. There goes a few shows I was going to record today. I'm getting error code 17 and error code 25.

I ran into the same problem but found the fix. It is a firewall issue. When you update to a new version of BTV, your firewall no longer recognizes it. Restarting BTV isn't enough. You have to reboot and let the firewall recognize the "new" program. I had to give my Norton firewall permission for three or four different variations of BTV (registration service, etc.) before it would finally do the guide update, but now it's fine.

I think it was a firewall issue. I use ZoneAlarm and I had been blocking the registration service during the trial period. All good now thanks.
