Editing Channel Linup - Too Difficult

I just spent 1 hour re-setting my channel line-up because the one new channel I ordered from Directv was not listed. I had to delete my lineup and start over. In the process I had to de-select hide) all the cahannels i did not want to see (sports, religion, shopping, premium movies, adult, etc). I must have checked a thousand boxes, Now my wrist hursts and I angry that the process is so time consuming.

Resolutions:

1. Allow us to check all at one time and then deselect the ones i want
2. Make the web interface for this section faster
3. Get rid of the jump to so all the channels can be shown at one time
4. Allow chanels to be reordered.

5. I can go on forever - in short - this process is toooo difficult.

Hide all even screwed me

I assumed that when i hit the Hide all it would only affect the channels in the grouping i was looking at - no, no it hide all the channels - even the ones i already de-selected - now i have to de-select all the ones i want again.

what a pain - oh well...

Re: Editing Channel Linup - Too Difficult

Actually, from the web admin, you could have saved all your hidden channels and reimported them after the lineup upgrade... This feature was added thanks to ccarlin about 2 versions ago...

Another nice idea

It would be nice if the main channel listing can be switched between show all channels and just a list of favorites. I have deleted all the sports channels from my guide and wehn my father comes over - he aleats wants me to add back espn etc.... I have to then go to the web controller and add it back for him. ...
