BTVTASKMANAGER.EXE and .Net Framework? Also running out of memory

See the two attached alert pictures.

Picture 1: Why is BTVTASKMANAGER constantly (every 15-20 seconds) trying to access the Internet?

Picture 2: Why is the same program trying to access the .Net Framework immediately after trying to access the Internet?

On a possibly unrelated issue: When BTV is running (whether in ViewScape or just the taskbar icon), my system slowly drops down to almost no remaining memory. I can free up the memory using FreeRamXP, but then within 10-15 minutes the same thing occurs again. This ONLY occurs while BTV is running. I even tried to install all my programs on a different hard drive (to check to see if it is a virus-related issue), and the problem only occurs immediately after installing BTV.

What is going on here?

I believe your system is trying to update the Guide. So much is being coded in .NET now, it's not unusual for software to be using it.

Re: BTVTASKMANAGER.EXE and .Net Framework? Also running out of memory

It could be the guide update. Also, do you have the DVD Burning plugin? BTV makes a call to the 'net to validate the license of the plugin. BTV uses .NET exclusively, it is required to have .NET 1.1 to even run BTV.
