Streaming Recorded Shows to Pocket PC?

I am considering purchasing Beyond TV, mainly for streaming content to pocket PC. I have so far been able to stream live tv, but I am curious if it is possible to stream recorded shows? I have an HP rx3715, Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, and Windows Mobile 2003SE.

Thanks,
David

Re: Streaming Recorded Shows to Pocket PC?

I stream live and recorded video from my dvr to my pocket PC via Slingbox....it works very well. I've never tried the same with SS. IMO, the Slingbox is the way to go for streaming until SS can match it.

Beyond TV is a lot cheaper than a Slingbox, however. First I'd like to try this :-) I probably will go with the slingbox if this doesn't work out, though.

I already used that for live streaming. I'm working on recorded.

I can't use Orb, since my card is a software decoder (TV Wonder).

I may just teach myself ASP .net and write something for it.

Orb will stream recorded files just fine if you tell it the folders where your recordings are.

Plus, unlike BTV it will adjust the stream rate based on your connection speed. I don't use Orb much but whether I'm on my home LAN, on the laptop or PocketPC connected by Bluetooth to a fast 3G network, or Bluetoothing to a much slower EDGE network, it adjusts automagically. Can't beat that.

I realized that. I set up a little "Mobile Media" page on the snapstream server which links to the different sections of orb and live tv. I have it set to auto-showsqueeze new recordings, and I have everything the way I want. Thanks!
