arrow keys (on keyboard and remote) now move by page instead of by channel

hey ya'll -- so suddenly the other day, when ever I am in the guide and press up/down/left/right on my harmony remote or keyboard, it moves by page instead of channel -- can someone point me in the right direction to fix this?

I'm not sure what causes it but the fix is to hit the ctrl key on your keyboard. I tried pressing every key on my keyboard and couldn't find one that caused the guide jump.
