my channels are scrambled up; 2nd request for help

I switched from OTA antenna reception to cable tv, extended basic, no converter box needed. I had to configure my new channels and program guide, so I used the BTV setup wizard. As the wizard guided me from screen to screen, everything was going okay until it got to the testing screen. You know, the area that shows the video with the corresponding channel next to it, and the messages about if you can't see or hear the video and audio click here, and so on.

Well, that's where the problem started; it shows channel 3(CBS), but has channel 2(local FOX) next to it. My cable company is Comcast and the zip code for the correct line up is 08051, which is Mantua, NJ.

Extended cable should be about 68 channels: 2 thru 46; 52 thru 55; 57 thru 61; 63 thru 66; 70, 71, 72, 75, 76, 77, 78, 95 and 98.

Without listing all the callsigns heres what I'm getting:
2 is 3; 3 is 4; 4 is Not Detected; 5 is N/D; 6 is N/D; 7 is 95; 8 is N/D; 9 is N/D; 10 is 98; 11 is N/D; 12 is N/D; 13 is 14; 14 is 15; 15 is 16; 16 is 17; 17 is 18; 19 is 20; 20 is 21; 22 is 7; 23 is 8; 24 is 9; 25 is 10; 26 is 11; 27 is 12; 28 is 13; 29 is 23; 30 is 24; 31 is 25; 32 is 26; 33 is 27; 34 is 28; 35 is 29; 36 is 30; 37 is 31; 38 is 32; 39 is 33; 40 is 34; 41 is 35; 42 is 36; 43 is 37; 44 is 38; 45 is 39; 46 is 40; 52 is 46; 53 is N/D; 54 is N/D; 55 is 52; 57 is 54; 58 is 55; 59 is N/D; 60 is N/D; 61 is 57; 63 is 59; 64 is 60; 65 is 61; 66 is N/D; 70 is 65; 71 is 66; 72 is N/D; 73 is N/D; 75 is N/D; 76 is 70; 77 is 71; 78 is 72; 95 is 72; 98 is 72; 97 is 72.

Now here's the odd part, when the snapstream proguide data was downloaded everything was correct with the right channel numbers, callsigns, and programs on the program guide only.

I purchased my video capture device in Nov '06. It is an ADS Tech Instant TV Deluxe (USB), which is supported by SnapStream. I purchased it from www.tigerdirect.com

It came with these bundled software packages: capwiz-for capturing video from vcrs, dvds, hard drives, and live tv, and then transferring to dvds and so on; ArcSoft QuickDVD - allows DVD to DVD copying or live tv straight to DVD skipping the harddrive, and ArcSoft ShowBiz - a movie maker program, and BTV 4 Express.

To record live tv in capwiz I had to scan the tv channels. When I did so for cable it picked up all the channels correctly, no problem. It does not intergrate with BTV. So BTV has to be off for it to function propertly.

I upgraded from the BTV Express to the 4.5 version, the free upgrade prior to receiving cable tv. In OTA mode everything worked fine. As of yesterday, I upgraded to full version of BTV 4; I paid $29.99. I tried to use the wizard setup but the same problem happened.

Before I even upgraded to the paid version I totally uninstalling the 4.5 version reinstalling just the BTV Express, running the set up wizard and still the cable channels where out of order.

So I uninstalled the BTV Express, reinstalled it, but this time I also installed the free 4.5 upgrade version, ran the setup wizard and again the channels were off.

I uninstalled the BTV software again, went online, spent $29.99 on the full upgrade version of 4.5 minus the DVD burner. Ran the setup wizard and STILL the channels are off. These events took place over a few days.

And before I would uninstall or use the wizard I would delete the current line up so that the wizard would start fresh, but it never did and is still not working.

I even tried going to back to analog antenna to fake it out so to speak and the channels lined up but I couldn't see anything past channel 10, so that doesn't work either.

So now I can't even look at live tv, because everything is a mess, and I'm exhausted trying to figure this out.

If there's anyone who can solve my problem and would like to talk me through the process over the phone and is not concern about me calling them or you calling me, please send me a private message. I believe this is the only way to quicky solve my problems. Thank you for reading this long thread.

I'M TIRED
