PVR150-MCE blaster trouble

OK, very new to posting on forums but here we go.
I have 2 Wintv-pvr150 mce editions. all the drivers are working and i get beyond tv 4.4 up and running fine. Trouble is i can't get the IR Blaster working with my satellite boxes(dish network 811).

already e-mailed Hauppauge and waiting for thier response.

read through this forum and found a couple others with this problem, but not much info.

I'm running an athlon 64 3300, Wintv-pvr150 mce, radeon x550, biostar tforce 6100 motherboard.

Here's what i've found so far. there is a link on snapstreams site to get the blaster found. You install Blaster config ver.1.3.22280. this finds the blaster no problem, but the codes and what it will control are rather dated.
if you go to Hauppauge site the have Blaster Config ver.1.3.23033, which doesn't find the hardware, they also have a Beta ver.40.24286, which will not find the hardware, but does have the correct codes.

i figure i can order a couple of wintv-pvr 150 with the blasters on the cards, but have spent a ton of money already trying to get my media rig up and running.

if you need anymore info just let me know.

any help would be great.

Re: PVR150-MCE blaster trouble

Good luck, slojo98. I've spent countless hours fiddling, have searched exhaustively these forums and Snapstream's "knowledgebase", tried everything I could find and posted here Serial irBlaster, Firefly Mini & Dishnetwork with NO responses.

We certainly can't be the only folks out there that are looking to use a BTV setup along with Dishnetwork.

Man thats sounds like a mess, wish I colud help really. But I would love to know is what you think of the radeon x550. I just bought one, it's on its way, and I'd like a fellow Homegrown DVR guru's opinion.

Re: PVR150-MCE blaster trouble

Isn't the blaster on this model the MCE remote blaster? If so, it is NOT supported as a blaster. Microsoft will not release the necessary code to make it work.
