Amcap fixes dark recordings but..

First, thanks for the tipping amcap to modify brightness settings, this solved my problem. Only my PVS sometimes is resetting the brightness settings again to the dark setting. I do not exactly know when this happens, does anyone know how I can prevent this?

Video capture filter settings change

In my case, this seems to happen when I run one of the TV viewing apps that use the WDM driver without using the proper DirectShow api to query for minimum and maximum values.

This is re-producable when I start ChrisTV 3.0 b5 (http://christv.port5.com/) It will always change my WDM settings.

Starting up another app that uses the tv card always causes black recordings. Even when I use amcap to adjust brightness I have to do a restart of windows don't touch any other tv apps and I am able to make recordings, even after a view recordings it will go to dark recordings again. Very frustrating.

Weird, it seemed to me that SnapStream never touches any of the Video Capture filter settings. In fact I wished they did, and that I would be able to control just how.....

Do you notice changed settings when you use amcap to inspect them in between recordings?
