ATI Radeon X1300 & TV Wonder 200 PCI

Looking some direction here.

I have a 2GHz AMD, 1GB Ram, 80GB HDD I want to use to a PVR. I use to have a GE Force 4600Ti and a happauge 150 card in it and the setup worked.

I reformated the system, as it is just going to be a pvr machine now. I patched the system to SP@, and also installed Direct X and Windows Media Player. GE Force 4600Ti and the happauge 150 card would not produce any video and would lock up. It didnt even work in WinTV.
Thinking it might have been the card going bad, I took the 150 card back, and exchanged it for another one. It did not change the issue.

So I returned it and purchase the AT TV Wonder 200 PCI. I could get audo out of it in ATI's media center, but I could not get video. Thinking it may be the video card, I then changed that to a ATI Radeon X1300.

Unfortunately I am rec'ing the same issue, no video, audi does work.

In the ATI media center tester, it says my video and capture drivers are not installed correctly.

Any advice? Should I just blow the system away again, load up to SP2 and trying loading the latest drivers to see if they take. I did read however the X1300 might be having an issue with WDM drivers being assigned.

Any direction/comment would be appreciated.

First thing would be to get your system patched to XP2, if you haven't done it already. Then download the latest drivers for the X1300. There were new ones released last week or the week before. Don't install the TVWonder until, you've done those two things. After those are working properly, then download the newest drivers for the TVWonder and try the installation again.

Thanks Phil.

I reformated the system. Updated to SP2, installed the video card drivers, Direct X , and Windows Media Player, then installed he TV card. Still no luck. Audio is fine, but I receive no video, its just a black screen.

Do you have the ATI MMC installed? If so, what version? In device manager what WDM drivers are installed? Which version of TVWonder driver is installed? There should be 5 WDM drivers, do any have a yellow exclaimation mark indicating a problem?

It is strange that 2 different tuners would act the same. What mobo and Cpu?
