Remote Delay with Fios Motorola Box

I'm getting a 2.5 second delay after I click the remote until the box responds on the monitor (the channel on the box changes immediately). This delay is occurring for all remote actions (e.g. channel change, guide etc.). Initially I thought it was the box, so I swapped it with the another box in a different room (connected to tv), that does not have this problem, but the problem still occurs. It seems that the box is somehow sensing the PVR card and causing the delay.

I have Verizon Fios TV and have BTV connected to the Motorola QIP2500-2 (standard def) box via composite video. I have a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150MCE 1042 card. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any ideas? Thanks.

This is not a problem -- this is Normal behavior. Due to using Mpeg recording -- which you have to use -- due to the tuner card being used -- BTV is TimeShifting -- LiveTV has a slight delay to it. You should be using an IR blaster to control the box -- such as:
