One channel poor playback

National Geographic channel has great quality on live vewing but recordings playback with terrible quality. I have no problem with other channels. What could be the problem?

Does it look fine on a TV? Are you running a STB (Cable box). What kind of capture card etc...

Re: One channel poor playback

Thank you for your reply. I only use a TV for viewing. The capture card is a Hauppauge PVR350 and the display adapter is an ATI Rage Fury Pro 2000. The PC is an Intell P4 1.7GHz with 512MB PC400 memory. I receive analog cable (TWC) without a cable box.

Regards,

Jerrycoll

Re: One channel poor playback

I use the Windows Media format and Good (DVD ready) quality. All other channels play back clearly but National Geographic has lots of snow. The audio is good, however.

Try one of the MPEG2 qualities (Good or better)
