Angry Editing channel lineup

Man, beyondtv was so easy to setup at college...having quite the nightmare getting it to work for my parents.

Anyway, I'm trying to get the right channel lineup. I've definitely selected the right cable provider and such as I've done it with other programs and besides I've tried them all. The one I'm currently using is the most correct. Problem is, there are 5 additional channels that I get that aren't in the lineup (including 2 local channels).

Here's the stupid and extremely frustrating part. Know the part of the setup wizard where it tests your signal (little box showing what's on channel 2 or whatever)? If you hit the "CH" button, it opens a window with a list of channels. There is a spot next to each channel to put a checkmark. Only some of the channels have checkmarks already placed, and they correspond to the program guide beyondtv gives me. This list of channels includes the channels I'm missing, and when I double click them I can view them through the little box. So I figure all I have to do is place checkmarks next to these channels (I also remove checkmarks from shopping channels and such). I make sure it has the same channels checkmarked on both my sources and complete the wizard. The program guide only has what was originally checked, as if I made no changes. And when I go back to the wizard I see that it didn't save my changes.

I've tried many times, deleting the lineup and recreating it. Just can't get it to change. AHHHHHHH! What's the point of the checkmarks then!? Is this some sort of sick joke!?
Wow, good thing I copied this message before submitting, I woulda lost it all! Nice try snapstream but you couldn't screw me this time!
