SmartSkip

Any show I use the smartskip feature on are unable to play over network on another computer or XBox. I can't even copy these files to another computer over the network.
Get an Error Copying File or Folder. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected.
Is this just the norm....or is there a fix to this?

Re: SmartSkip

Are you trying to move the file before or after the smartskip job has run ?

nanook105 ....After everything is done.

For an experiment I disabled SmartSkip, recorded a show...and it copies to other computer no problem.

Re: SmartSkip

Can you look at the windows properties on one of the shows that you can move vs one you can't ?

What version of BTV are you using ?

Re: SmartSkip

Thnks for your time nanook 105

I have done some more testing and I think there is a connection to the AutoXvid I used the file (I didn't think there was a connection at the time) . I will be doing some further testing to see what is going on.....it might have been just a fluke that the files turned out the way they did.

It was strange cause after a reboot the file was the same and even after unistalling the autovxid programs. However... I think autoxvid started with windows (dahh)...grab'd the file again and wasn't releasing it when it was done with the commercial cutting and compression.

I had checked out the AutoXvid thread.....and I didn't come across anyone with this problem.

Oh well..i'll figure it out.....im sure after a day or 2 of playing around
