XMLTV Importer "unable to connect to btv web admin"... Help please...
Just upgraded from 3.7.4 to 4.1. Installed latest LM Gestion importer 4.1s as well.
But when I click "import", I get long errer code: "Unable to start Beyond TV Update : Unable to connect to BTV web admin (system.web.services.protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System Exception 00000000(lots-of-0's)000000001 at Snapstream.Beyondtv.webservices.BTVLicenseManager. LogonHelper(string networklicense, string password, boolean allowlocal) at Snapstream.Beyondtv.webservices.BTVLicenseManager. Logon(string networklicense, string password) -- End of inner exception stack trace --)" I can access webadmin at http://localhost:8129 just fine. I have no firewall running (even tried turning off windows firewall). And I have not set a password in webadmin. And Beyond TV services ARE running. Any idea What's wrong ??? Come to think of it I can not see any Video Sources when I click "Edit Channels" in the importer, and I can not select the lineup I am using in Webadmin. I can only see the "Snapstream.net lineup" which does have my channels there. In Web admin I can see my video source (Haupague 250 something) and corresponding lineup which also does contain my channels. But I cannot see the "Snapstream.net" lineup. Strangeness. |

Hello,

If things still goes bad, you can try to see if you can connect manually to the BTV API by going to http://localhost:8129/wsdl in your browser, then you'll see a list of Web Services, click on the "BTVLicenseManager.asmx" and click on "Logon", then you'll have to type your BTV License key (leave the password field blank) and submit the request. Usually another blank browser window open when all is fine. If this "manual" test is failing, I suggest that you remove BTV completely (backup your Beyond TV Settings directory first), reboot, remove .Net 1.1, reboot, reinstall .Net 1.1, reinstall BTV. Regards, Stéphane.

Re: XMLTV Importer "unable to connect to btv web admin"... Help please...
Thanks for a VERY quick reply.
I decided to revert to 3.7.4 after reading all the horror stories in here and seeing how many people are still runing or have reverted to pre-4.0 versions. If things don't improve I think I will look at the alternatives. Maybe give it one more chance when next bugfix version comes out. |
