Not sure where you are at, but both of those channels are fine for me. What is your signal strength on those two stations ? Can you post your system specs (or put them in your sig) ?

Re: Chicago area crashes

Signal strength is 98-100 on both stations.

One more problem just popped up, 50.1 goes black with audio on recordings and live when switching channels down from analog 5 but is ok when switching up from digital 32.1??? Was alright a week ago...

Re: Chicago area crashes

Is it possible that the antenna moved ? Have you rerun the setup wizard lately to see if the signal is still the same ? Do you have any other software that you can use to validate the signal ?

Re: Chicago area crashes

Have 12 DT stations comming in good 98-100%, the two HD that crash have 98-100%. Have run setup a dozen times also have Vbox meter saying same. Antenna is on top of TV pointing E in the best direction.

Re: Chicago area crashes

That is strange. 1071 is actually my "most behaved" station. Do you have the same issues in recordings and live TV ?

Re: Chicago area crashes

recordings and playback are fine on all stations except with that 50.1 no video thing. All stations also play fine on the ATI screen with BTV turned off. 7.1 & 11.1 crash only in BTV live. Again those are the only two that have HD in their call signs (like: WLS-HD)

That's strange, all of the call signs for my HD OTA channels end in DT (WBBMDT, WMAQDT, WLSDT, WGNDT, WTTWDT, etc). Those channels don't always broadcast in HD. Does it crash in non HD and HD, or just HD ?

Re: Chicago area crashes

Those two stations always crash, HD or no. My ATI HDTV Wonder tuner card might be showing things differently from yours. Snapstream ask for a Debug View log which I found and sent to them. It shows all the steps the puter is doing from starting BTV to the crash. It shows WLS-HD 7.1 starting then and also WLS-SD 7.2 and WLS-SD 7.3. Then seconds later the crash. I read somplace that all three are sent but you only see or record the one you ask for. Same thing for WTTW-HD. Then I started WFLD-DT 32.1 and it playes fine and show no sub channels..

Re: Chicago area crashes

I would continue to work with tech support on this. I would also try moving the antenna to see if it had any impact.

Re: Chicago area crashes

Great !!! Kinda makes sense the the ATI decoder would work (since your have an ATI tuner). Still strange that the snapstream/sp decoder didn't work
