HD - PC to TV Best Choice

Time to dump the Hauppauge MVP player and get hidef from my PC to the TV.

Here is my set-up:

TV - Sony LCOS (KDS-R50XBR1)
PC: 2.54 Ghz P4 / 640 meg RAM
Graphics - ATI Radeon 9550 / 256 meg
SD Tuner: PVR-150
HD Tuner: Undecided

I have two questions.

1. My set is about 20' from the PC. I am presently networked to the MVP player and it works fine on SD. Should I look for a HD replacement for the MVP such as the Linkplayer2 or use the DVI output from the ATI 9550 via a DVI to HDMI cable to the TV? I understand using the DVI output I will also need to run audio cables. Any pluses or minuses using either setup would be appreciated.

2. I have the TV setup using both OTA and straight cable via seperate inputs. I can get all the HD channels available in my area with this setup. I would like a HD tuner card capable of handling, with seperate inputs, not only OTA but QAM (unencrypted of course) from cable. Does such a beast exist? I am aware of the fact BTV does not support QAM at this time.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all
