BTV Link: Not Responding

I just downloaded my first copy of BTV Link. After install, it asks if you want to start BTV Link. I clicked yes, and then the dialog box comes up but nothing happens. When I look in task manager, it says "not responding."

I tried the following procedures:

1) uninstalling and reinstalling it, but the same thing happens
2) downloading another copy, but same thing happens

The maching is as follows:

1.6 ghz
2 gb
windows xp
Radeon 9550

Any ideas??
