No sound at all for Kworld Card Analog TV

I'm trying to get BeyondTV 4.1 (not trial) working for my Kworld ATSC Card. The same thing happens with the 3.8 SE that came with the card, and there is no other software to test with. I can't seem to get any HD reception even with a big outdoor antenna, so I'm stuck with analog, which is clear as day.

So, I'm able to watch and timeshift live tv, and my record & playback tests seem okay - but no sound no matter what I do! I've installed the newest drivers for everything (kworld drivers for tuner card and nvidia drivers for sound, video, and mb) . I've read thru all the faqs and documentation and tried everything it said - including playing back in media player, which still has no sound. I've removed/reinstalled and rerun the setup wizard more times than I can count.

I had a cord between the tuners Audio Out and my PC's Line-In, but after reading various documentation can't decide if that's right or not, so I just hooked up good working speakers direct to the tuner card in addition to the ones to my PC, that way I've got sound no matter where it comes from (and once I know, I'll do it right).

I attached my dxdiag.txt cuz it shows my details, but I don't think they matter. All the sound tests work fine in dxdiag, video works fine in btv, I just want sound!

I've seen this happen occasionally when I was initially testing my Kworld in my game PC with BTV 3.8 and then with 4.0 in the PVR box. Sorry that I can't tell you what fixed it, it was sporadic and often if I quit Live TV and then restarted I would have sound. BTV 4 seemed to work better with it.

Since then I've totally rebuilt my PVR and no problems now. Wish I could tell you exactly what did it. I can tell you that the game PC has an SiS chipset, and the new PVR has an Nforce-3 chipset.

Well I'm glad to know it's not only me, I was beginning to wonder if perhaps something is wrong with the card (which I just got!). I tried uninstalling BTV again, installed 3.8 and no sound. Upgraded to 4.1, no sound. Uninstalled. Installed 4.1, no sound. This is frustrating!

If you remember, when you did the setup wizard, does a message pop up saying "using built-in audio on capture card" or something like that? That's what mine says, and it doesn't ask me any of the sound-related setup questions (that I only know exists from studying the btv 4 manual pdf - but the manual does indicate that these steps are sometimes skipped)..
