Guide download fails after upgrade to 4.1

I just upgraded from 4.1 RC3 (build 2952) to the official 4.1 release (build 2964) and now my guide data update always fails. I tried to:

1. Re-run the setup wizard, but it says it "Failed to download channel lineup from Snapstream.net."

2. I did a clean install of build 2964 and ran the setup wizard and it failed to verify my snapstream.net account.

3. Re-ran setup wizard with build 2964 and it says it failed to detect an Internet connection, but my Internet connection is clearly working on this machine.

I checked the settings.xml file and it has my proper Snapstream.net info. Any ides? In the meantime I'll submit a support ticket although they usuallly aren't too quick.

I did that to prove to myself that the Internet connection was working. Setup still said it couldn't find a connection.

Re: Guide download fails after upgrade to 4.1

Can't d/l guide.

Never had a problem with this issue....until today. Upgrade to 4.1 on Friday and d/l of guide was successful after upgrade. I am thinking it's BTV site that is having issues.

Re: Guide download fails after upgrade to 4.1

Guide update just downloaded successfully! Guess there was something wrong with the servers.

Re: Guide download fails after upgrade to 4.1

I have the same problem with the guide data. The guide update works (or seems to work) like it's supposed to but once I open BTV all I see is "Unavailable" for every channel. The guide worked fine on this computer with version 3.5. I've also noticed that the guide update is taking much longer now. Has anyone been able to find a fix for this issue?

-WC

Ok, new info to add. I decided to uninstall BTV and reinstall straight to 4.1. The guide now works perfectly. My original upgrade path was 3.5 to 4.0 to 4.1. I downloaded the latest 4.1 update and installed straight to 4.1 and everything seems to be working fine. Guide updates are fast too. This is probably not a good solution but it worked for me. GL
