Re: Play TP/TS files on another computer
I just reloaded my main systerm last night, and tried playing the beyond tv recording over the network. It said it didnt recognize the extension and asked if I still wanted to play it. I said yes, but then it said (i cant remember the exact message) it couldnt play it.

Re: Play TP/TS files on another computer
This is easy to resolve. Download the Cole2K codec pack, which has just about every codec out there, including TP.
http://www.cole2k.net/ Click "advanced" in the upper left column under the "codec packs" heading. Install it. Play your file. You should be good to go. Media Player may still say it's trying to download the codec and it can't find it, but the file will play normally anyway. |

Re: Play TP/TS files on another computer
I would be careful about installing codec packs. I've seen a lot of issues/posts from people with problems that ended up being related to something that the codec pack installed

Re: Play TP/TS files on another computer
Danger Will Robinson. Some of these codec packs can give you absolute nightmare behavior. From poor video playback of certain codecs, to completeling crashing your system. You really should stay well clear of them, and ONLY install codecs you absolutely need, one by one. My preferred way of installing all you need to read about everything out there: http://www.inmatrix.com/articles/mediasetup.shtml Zoom Player not needed, but it is one of the best out there. The last page includes a way to do a clean start without full windows reinstall if things got messed up. Eric

Re: Play TP/TS files on another computer
You could simply install VLC...it plays these files natively...I use it all the time to play files that I've captured with MyHD card....

No way an MX 4000 will do HD smoothly.
