Questions About Multiple Tuners!!!

I am running BTV4. I have 2 hauppauge 250 cards installed for recording or watching digital stations and 1 hauppauge 150 dual tuner card for watching or recording basic cable. I have link installed on 3 computers. If link is running on all 3 computers and someone decides to change a channel who is tuned to a basic tuner from the server box, they will also change the station on 1 of the other linked computers or the server computer without warning. It seems that the only lineups that I am getting are digital lineups. Everything appears to work fine if the linked computer stays within the basic channel range, but I didn't think that the digital stations were even supposed to show up if the computer is tuned to a basic tuner. Everything appears to be setup properly in the webadmin.

Has anyone seen this before?

The Guide on the links will be the same as on the server - the linups will be merged. Just like the server, if you change from a basic to a digitial channel from the link, BTV will automatically change which tuner it uses.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do the lineups have to be merged? It would be nice if a warning window popped up explaining that a tuner is in use before switching tuners. I know I would be upset if I were into a good show on a linked computer and someone changed channels on me. My wife would really be upset if she were watching from the server computer and that happened to her.

Yes - they do have to be merged, but you should get a warning if you are changing a channel on a tuner that someone else is watching/recording. If that isn't happening, you should submit a bug to tech support

Thanks. I don't know if this is a problem, but I also noticed that my channel lineups for my digital boxes and my basic cable are the same from channels 2-99. When I went to the webadmin, I noticed that my basic cable lineups have many channels which are set to hidden. I thought that was something that had to be done manually by me. Since you say that the lineups are being merged, can I just simply delete the basic cable lineup and use the digital lineup for my basic cable since the channles are the same on each lineup from 2-99?

Ok. Thanks. I have deleted all of my sources and ran the setup wizard again after doing a clean install od BTV4. I'll see how it goes.
