? B4 I upgrade to BTV4

I am one of the several users who upgraded to 3.7.4 and as a result could never get my color settings correct. At this point my recording system became useless. I am extremely hesitent to upgrade to BT4. Is there anyone else who had the same problems and BT4 corrected them?

Edit: The video would "wash out" with lighter colors, flesh tones sucked, etc...

I'm running an Avermedia PVR150 (whitebox)
