Following is a list of issues / FAQs concerning Beyond TV 4.0.

Problem: How do I upgrade Beyond TV from version 3.x to 4.0?

Problem: I use XMLTV, and after an upgrade, Beyond TV does not download Program Guide information.

Problem: I need to troubleshoot a generic problem with HDTV (poor playback quality, constant stuttering, intermittent stuttering).

Please also note that low signal strength causes intermittent stuttering and/or artifacts to appear; signal strengths as high as 90% can suffer from the occasional "hiccup" or artifact, and atmospheric conditions affect HDTV reception and can cause these two problems.

Problem: The volume on my S/PDIF output changes erratically when watching HDTV / Digital shows in BTV, or is too loud / too quiet and cannot be modified.

Problem: SmartSkip and ShowSqueeze operations do not work on HDTV recordings.
SmartSkip for HDTV was first introduced in Beyond TV 4.1. ShowSqueeze for HDTV was first introduced in Beyond TV 4.3. Update your copy of Beyond TV to gain access to these features.

Problem: Moving a connected Microsoft Wireless Mouse causes the "L" key to be pressed, resulting in switch to "Last channel" in Live TV or constant entry of "L" in search boxes.
Update to Beyond TV 4.1 to fix this issue.

Problem: Automatic ShowSqueeze does not function on HD recordings.
