Want to ad external 40gb hard drive to puter with 33.6gb c drive. How do I get BTV to store movies in both for 34 hours total? This puter is not on line.

Re: more storage

BTV will not use multiple drives for its default recording location. You can install the drive set up a new recording folder on the new drive (either to be the default or for specific recordings).

Re: more storage

Any plans to change that in Version 4? I honestley think they need to becasue with HD being recorded you wil have to monitor your recording more closley becasue they take up more space. This will be a pain in the neck to manage.

Re: more storage

To have any app manage disk space is sort of bass ackwards. You can drop as many disks into your system as you want (or can cases and power supplies are limiting factors for internal drives) and either via hardware or software stick them all together (JBOD) or if you have the setup for it a proper RAID (perhaps 5 but I know most peoples budgets are tight). I don't know if they will venture down that road but there are better ways to do it outside of BTV.

Re: more storage

Better ways to manage it outside of beyond tv. All that beyond tv has to do it jsut make them record to other folders when one drive gets full. Managing that outside of BYTV is more complicated. If they would jsut do it it will make it all eiser. No extra work for the user.
